i’m no princess! i’m still waiting for normal body parts to arrive!
Born in rural Kentucky and raised on an abundant supply of movies, Crystal knows all about honeysuckles, UK basketball, and the art of comedic timing. She can’t help but not-so-silently judge people who have never seen The Goonies. Because, really, how do you not watch that movie? It’s The Goonies and, you know what else? Sloth love Chunk. Also, Crystal totally realizes how lame it is to talk in third person, but this sounded even more stupid when she was writing this in first person. Yeah, this was even worse. It’s hard to believe, but it’s true.
In addition to working in a library, keeping this blog, and being an awesome published author and all, Crystal also likes to brag about the ridiculous number of DVDs she owns and how many times she’s seen Wedding Crashers and National Treasure (yeah, she’s single… how’d you know?), throw “that’s what she said” into incredibly innocent conversations because her mind resides at 69 Gutter Street, and straddle statues of United States’ presidents, not because of a lack of respect, but because it was four in the morning and there were a number of vodka-cranberries involved.
She started this blog because, at some point in time, someone told her she was funny and she let it get to her head. And since she talks far too fast to be a stand-up comedienne and has a fancy degree in English, starting a blog was clearly the next logical choice. And that’s the story of how Sloppy Words and Movie Lines was conceived. Beautiful, ain’t it? The blog has no real theme other than being the story of a girl in her twenties telling silly stories, obsessing over Hanson, and trying to find her place in the world, one smart ass remark at a time.

Thanks, Crystal, for your wonderful album review on my son’s (Tony Smith) and his bandmate’s band, “Sleeper Agent” and their debut album, “Celabrasion” in this month’s (Sept. 2011) issue of Bowling Green Daily New’s “The Amplifier.”
