I’ve been writing on this paranormal series since NaNoWriMo. It was actually the story I wrote for NaNoWriMo. Since then, it’s been turned into a three part series. And I have been working on it and off for months. This past Friday I wrote 11 pages.
Yes, I wrote 11 pages on Friday night. I have no life.
The first story in the series involves a character very involved in hoodoo practices and Shamanism. And I happen to know very little about that. Thankfully, a guy I work with has a book published about American Shamans and I can just pop my head in his office and ask a question if I can’t find the answer in his book. But because I don’t want to be super annoying, I’m resorting to Google.
If I die, someone really needs to go clear my Internet history from my computer before my body turns room temperature. Because, seriously, I have a recent search called “raccoon penis bones”. Yes, raccoons have penis bones and apparently it was all the rage in the 70s for boys to give girls they like raccoon penis bones as a symbol of love. No, I am not kidding. It’s evidently a very basic love spell.
You know that I am so including that shit in a book somewhere.
Now, having shared that fun fact, I am going to leave you with something very important. Little Miss LiLu, yes the lovely lady who designed my blog, is in the running to be the first MTV TJ. I don’t fully understand all of it, but by God, she needs to win it immediately. So, click on her face and learn about how much she’ll kick ass in 140 characters or less.
